Shopping Around Tintern

Tintern itself has some shops as described under the 'Facilities Menu' though these are largely concerned with the tourist trade.

BROCKWEIR VILLAGE SHOP is very well worth a visit. The shop has been built and is run by the villagers of Brockweir. It has a very good range of food, newspapers, stationery etc and has photocopying and cafe facilities. Have a browse and a simple meal.

LLANDOGO, three miles to the north on the A466 has a fairly comprehensive general store "Roger Brown's". This is on the main road close to the Llandogo garage. They sell groceries, frozen food, newspapers etc, fruit and vegetables and excellent bread and baked foods.

Practically all other shopping needs can be met in the neighbouring towns of Abergavenny (20 miles), Caldicot (10 miles), Chepstow (6 miles), Coleford (8 miles) or Monmouth (10 miles).
