The Cherry Tree Inn is now open again!
A consultation is being hld at The Anchor Inn between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 27 June. Plans will be on display for the proposed shared use path for walkers, wheelchair users, horse riders and cyclists along the old railway track bed from Tintern Station to Chepstow, including a proposed new footbridge across the Wye where the old rail bridge used to be.
I have received the following infomation about Llandogo Early Years events coming up soon. I know it's not strictly in Tintern, but Tintern children attend Llandogo school, and so it's on here!
Llandogo Early Years have 2 major fundraisers coming up.
On Sunday 26thApril they are holding another car treasure hunt with additional scavenger hunt for the kids to keep them amused on the way round (prize for every child) Leaving from Llandogo Millennium Hall starting at 1.30pm last car to leave at 4pm.
Cars are £5. Refreshments will be available before and after the event.
Prize for the winners.
Proceeds split between Llandogo School l and Llandogo Early years Playgroup.
The second fundraiser is Monday 4th May - a duck race!
Starts at Brockweir Bridge 12 noon finishing at Tintern Prom.

The Friends of Tintern and Tintern Village Hall are putting on a movie this friday evening, the 6th March.
Simon Beaufoy's "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day" is being screened in the Village Hall.
Doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.45 start. Tickets are £4 on the door and you are welcome to bring your own wine and snacks.

Please note that the Notice-Board by the public conveniences along the main road in Tintern, which belongs to the Friends of Tintern, is available for members of the Tintern Community to advertise activities, etc in. The key to unlock the board is held by Cllr Andi Francis at Abbey Lodge, Tintern.

Tintern has enjoyed some sunshine to see in the new year, although for some residents of the two valleys, a walk up on to the hills was required to experience it!
